Where is the event being held?
The Drive In Movie is being held on the gravelled area beyond the main Barleylands Craft Centre/Farm Park Car Park – Billericay Road, Billericay, Essex CM11 2UD Entrance is only via the main Car Park gates.
Upon entering the main gates please look out for our steward. We have a new system in place to keep the Drive-In Contact Free so our steward will pop a coloured instruction card under your windscreen wiper. First, you need to find an empty car parking space in the main car park, away from the gravelled area and turn your lights off and retrieve the instruction card. Tune into 106.8 FM and then await further instructions over your radio. You will be called to approach the Drive-In viewing area by your card colour. Please drive sensibly and we will be checking you in by the Car Registration No you entered when purchasing your ticket.
Do I need to bring my e-ticket?
Yes, please remember to bring that along or at least viewable on your mobile as if we have problems checking you in from your Car Registration No then we may need to see your ticket before you are parked, from a safe distance.
Where do we park?
You will be directed to a space by one of our Parking Stewards and we will try to ensure that everyone has a good view of the screen. Being right at the front doesn’t necessarily mean you will get the best view. When parked and if necessary, please adjust your seats to ensure you get the best viewing possible.
Where will we be positioned?
Cars will be parked by our Stewards. It is not first come, first served. Cars will be parked in positions that our stewards deem most appropriate based on the size of car and number of people etc. Please be cooperative as this is a difficult job and it will make everything run more smoothly. Everybody must stop and take directions from our stewards. Large cars will be placed on the back row, as indicated on our website.
How do we hear sound?
Sound is transmitted through your car stereo on FM frequency 106.8, so please ensure that it is in good working order. If for some reason this is not working then please arrange some other means of listening i.e.. portable radio or some mobile phones have FM radios (definitely not iPhone or Samsung though). The broadcast is not available on internet radio or DAB.
Do Headlights and Daytime Running Lights (DRL) cause a problem?
Yes they do! If you do decide to run your car during the film and you have daytime running lights (DRL), please find out how to turn these off before the event as they affect the viewing of people in other cars. If you can’t turn them off, please bring with you a method of covering them for the duration of the film. Headlights, sidelights, parking lights, automatic lights must all be off, or covered.
Will food and drink be available for purchase?
Yes, food, drink (hot and cold) and snacks will be available to purchase during the event. This will include Hot Dogs (including Veggie Dogs) and Nachos & Cheese. Individual Ice Cream tubs, sweets, cold drinks etc We will have tea, coffee and Hot Chocolate and delicious warm american style pancakes with hot sauce and ice cream. After you are parked, we will deliver your popcorn to your car bonnet for you to retrieve and on this will be shown your Car Position No (ie. A1) together with a website address www.outdoorcinema.co.uk/eat for food orders from our catering van. Currently we will not be allowing any orders in person from our catering van and all orders will need to be done online with card payment. Orders can be placed as soon as you have your popcorn showing your Position No and we will deliver your order directly to your car bonnet. We will deal with these orders in the order they are received, so please bear with us. For the time being we will not be accepting cash payments so we can keep you and us safe.
What do we do with rubbish?
We ask you to please not litter the car park and to take any rubbish home with you.
Can I keep my car running during the film?
Yes you may run your car periodically but we advise to not leave it on for the entire film. We don’t however want any flat batteries at the end of the evening but if you are unlucky and this does happen then please advise a member of staff and we will try and assist you. If you have Daytime Running Lights, we ask you not to run your car unless they are covered.
Am I able to leave my car before and during the film?
Yes, while being respectful of Covid guidelines and social distancing.
How will we know who are Moonbeamers staff?
Our staff will all be wearing Purple Hi-visibility waistcoats, so if you need us you know who we are.
What do we do if we have a problem on the night?
Please text 07479 245874 and please do not approach our staff. It is easier for us to deal with a problem on the night and we cannot rectify a problem if we find out about it after the event.
Are there toilets?
Yes, the Barleylands toilets will remain open for the duration of the event. These are situated at the rear and through the black gates that lead towards Barleylands Farm Park.
Is there anything else I need to bring?

How do we leave at the end of the film?
At the end of the film, for the safety of all concerned, we ask you to please be patient and remain stationary and wait until a steward advises you to leave and which gates to leave from.
Will the event be cancelled due to bad weather?
